The exhibition is entirely produced by the Fondazione and shows the work of seven young artists, all of whom use photography as their means of artistic expression. The show presents the work of Martina Della Valle, Elisabetta Senesi, Michela Formenti, Silvia Camporesi, Alice Grassi, Leonora Bisagno and Sabine Delafon. This is a first-time show for some of the young artists, invited to present their work at Guarene d’Alba by the Fondazione’s curator Filippo Maggia. The works that have been specially created for the exhibition reflect a curious, almost geeky approach towards reality and all things normal. The spectator is quizzed by this interpretation of the world and urged to reflect on the exhibition’s title Tell me Why. This is an all-female show to keep in theme with the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo’s Year of the Woman, where all through this year has celebrated women in art through exhibitions and events.“All of the artists are there, inside the picture in one way or another, whether they have left a shadow or are part of the setting, as if their world has just slipped by them to reveal their being, what they are, having nothing to do with their gender but only their individual sensibility” explains the show’s curator Filippo Maggia.
