Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo organises contemporary art exhibitions, presenting the work of internationally acclaimed artists (such as Doug Aitken, Takashi Murakami and Glenn Brown) as well as young emerging artists (such as Diego Perrone, Patrick Tuttofuoco and Giuseppe Gabellone) whereby they offer not only a place in which to show their work but also the financial support to produce new works of art.
The exhibitions programme at the Fondazione has often taken a thematic approach, to be able to investigate and develop discussion on major issues and trends that are happening around the world. Themes that have been covered in the past are Women, Asia and the Environment.
Time and space is also given to exhibiting works from the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Collection, both at the Centre in Turin and Palazzo in Guarene as well as at important museums and exhibition spaces in Italy and abroad. The Fondazione also constantly develops relations with Italian and foreign institutions, co-producing and curating exhibitions (such as the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, MART di Trento e Rovereto, the Philadelphia Museum of Art and TATE Liverpool).
Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo presents a regular exhibition programme at their Turin centre for contemporary art and at Palazzo Re Rebaudengo in Guarene d’Alba as well as for other temporary venues where they are invited to organise exhibitions.
