For each exhibition, the Fondazione has chosen Cultural mediation as an innovative way to actively establish a relation with its adult public on a daily basis. Cultural mediation concretely develops in its actualization one of its main goals that is to draw the public to contemporary art.
The role of an art mediator is to establish and facilitate the direct contact between the visitor, the work of art and the exhibition itself, by supplying information, stimulate the dialogue and emphasize individual interpretations. Cultural mediation prepares the visitor to personally discover the work of art along with a further in depth examination of the artistic research based on an approach, which combines information together with dialogue, sharing and comparison. This approach embodies what is known as the “drop in way”, thus making the Fondazione a welcoming museum, always ready to host and offer new opportunities for knowledge.
The Fondazione mediation service is continual throughout the year, and available in English, French and Italian. Visitors can benefit from this service at all times, every day within the opening hours, it is free and booking is not requested.
This service is carried out by our mediator staff coming from art and humanities disciplines.
Mediators are constantly updated through a specific formation consisting of lectures and workshops conceived by the Fondazione.
